About Me

Jackie Newton has been an entertainer for 21 years. Her career titles have included standup comic, vocalist/conga player/band leader, motivational and educational speaker, professional and nationally published writer, professional clown, professional balloon artist and facepainter, entertainment agent, visual art director, Murder Mystery Troupe director, writer and actor. Newton has written and published four juvenile mystery novels called The Summer of Roux,A Friend from the Past, A New York Tumbleweed and Queen of the Nerds. She has published for several magazines and will begin publishing a series of early child picture books called The Eva Halle Series which will include her own illustrations and focus on humor and word play for young children.

Jackie Newton is also a 35 year veteran educator and continues to work as a professor for State Fair Community College and Central Methodist University in Missouri. Her degrees include a Bachelor of Science in Education, Master of Arts in Education and Education Specialist in Secondary and Curriculum from Central Missouri University. Her areas of teaching include public speaking, basic English, theater and education. Pictured above is Sparkie Da� Clown with her real life clown cousin, Dolly Dimples.
